Medical Transcription with Terminology and Medical Coding and Billing

The program courses are designed to build on skill sets, first providing the necessary basics of technology, medical records and professional development.  With practical experience as the best teacher, we include 36 hours of dictation by men, women and ESL doctors, all styles and difficulties. This dictation represents just about everything you will encounter in the work place. The answer keys are used to compare student work against the actual transcripts, one report at a time.  All students are provided with a 15-month subscription to AHDI’s Benchmark KB™ and the required foot pedal is included in the tuition.  All students who score above 90% on the comprehensive final exam and master the transcription requirements are eligible to be placed in a three month Jump Start internship.  The Medical Billing and Coding Specialist portion of the program is designed to prepare individuals for entry-level employment in areas such as claims examiner, medical biller, medical coder, and related occupations in the medical industry. It combines the Medical Billing program and the Medical Coding program. Graduates of this program will be employable by private health care practices, clinics, government agencies, insurance companies and other health care facilities.  The program teaches the students how to evaluate coding and billing practices and provides the tools for developing compliance programs that will meet the standards of the health care rules and regulations.
